Once out, there is no way back

STOP LEADING US TO NATIONAL SUICIDE

BREXIT CAN BE REVERSED

Brexit is Britain’s biggest blunder. Once out, there is no way back in. A rational, and legal, solution is easily available to the Government. Article 50 should be revoked. Only the courage to admit a mistake is lacking.

Lord Kerr, writer of Article 50.

A LONG, LONG TIME AGO, BRITAIN WAS GOVERNED WISELY.

Last year’s referendum IS redundant – in that it is unfeasible and non-beneficial in current domestic and global conditions. Changing our minds is an essential democratic right, abiding by advisory opinion polls is not. Unlike voting in fixed term general elections, we can’t change our minds once we leave the EU. The Referendum/”Will of the People” myth is being treated like the Divine of Kings. The Referendum is reversible – but leaving the EU isn’t.

I see Brexit as an opportunistic, essentially capitalist, right-wing coup that misled – preyed on – its “working-class” supporters.

The second EU referendum since 1975 was an historic mistake made by a self-serving Tory Government. A political blunder is being allowed to destroy our national prosperity and integrity, with private lives of families and individuals as collateral, as usual. It’s already put in power the most incompetent administration in living memory. It has exposed all the weaknesses of our democratic process.

At the last general election, I was one of those who didn’t vote Labour for the first time in their lives because of the leadership’s attitude to Brexit – of course I didn’t vote C! –

Blah blah into a bleak future.

A second referendum on the negotiations? That would make the first one rather redundant, I feel.
I would like another general election based on the government’s slim majority, and lack of concern for the working classes. But that’s not how it works, as we are all too aware
    Best wishes, Pete. x
