I did look at the photo on Martin’s site. The resolution is very good of course, but the wider view on Last Post is more appealing. Just a personal preference, naturally. x

Pete, good morning and thank you as ever for following and seeing life and art through your wise eyes. I agree about the calming classical feel. You know that the “original” is not really the original – it’s merely my clumsy attempt to showcase some of my favourite Martin Hübscher photos. A nice classical feel to this one. It actually looks better on your theme, compared to the original. (At least to my tired old eyes) Strange how ratio and background can alter the perception of what is the same image.
